Job Description

Who We Are

In an increasingly complex world where people are starving for someone they can trust, we stand for something simple: always put the client first. We do well by doing good for those we serve. It’s the ultimate measure. We believe in providing value beyond a doubt and in the notion that time will either expose you or promote you, based on your willingness to embrace change.

We serve financial advisors and investors through three entities, each headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska: Carson Wealth, Carson Coaching and Carson Partners. We provide coaching and partnership services to advisor firms – and straightforward financial advice to the investing public. We all share a common mission to be the most trusted in financial advice.

Who We Want

We are seeking a Wealth Planner with previous planning experience to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will provide wealth planning services for Carson Wealth clients, focusing on High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) families with complex financial needs. You will act as a co-pilot during client presentations, supporting the Wealth Strategists and Senior Wealth Advisors, who lead the client relationship. Additionally, you will take a lead role with next-generation clients within the Private Client families we serve. You will address clients' needs in areas such as cash flow, education planning, tax planning, major purchase planning, risk management, retirement planning, and estate planning. Additionally, you will collaborate with Wealth Strategists, Senior Wealth Advisors, and clients to prepare, present, implement, monitor, and maintain comprehensive wealth plans.

What To Expect

  • Provide planning support to Wealth Strategists and Senior Wealth Advisors
  • Act as a co-pilot in client presentations, supporting the Wealth Strategist and Senior Wealth Advisor as they lead
  • Take a lead role with next-generation clients inside the Private Client families we serve
  • Demonstrate the wealth planning software to clients
  • Input client information into web-based planning software
  • Develop close, long-term relationships with our clients to understand their current circumstances and future needs or wishes
  • Update wealth plans as necessary to maintain reliable and current information
  • Generate and deliver comprehensive wealth plans tailored to HNW and UHNW clients
  • Create and modify PowerPoint presentations to highlight wealth plan data for client meetings
  • Continually look for ways to improve the wealth planning process
  • Educate advisors and clients on new strategies, tax law changes, and regulatory requirements
  • Strategize with advisors on client solutions and advice

What You Need

  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation
  • A genuine interest in serving and caring for other people
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent phone and personal communication skills
  • Drive for professional growth
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Professional designations such as CFP®, CPA, or JD highly desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in wealth planning, ideally working with HNW and UHNW clients
  • Microsoft Office Suite – Intermediate level
  • eMoney, MoneyGuide, and Salesforce experience preferred

In exchange for your expertise, we offer a base salary, bonus potential, 401(k) plus matching, health benefits, and a great working environment. This is your chance to play a key role in the continued success of our company. Our culture is fast-paced, collaborative, innovative, and focused on healthy living. Carson strives to promote the health and wellness of its stakeholders by maintaining a tobacco-free workplace.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, age or any other characteristic protected by law.
