VISITING INSTRUCTOR AVIATION

This person will be responsible for teaching courses in the Aviation Science and Technology program at Texas Southern University. To teach the following courses: Aviation Management, Aviation Law, Air Carrier Management, Aviation Safety, General Aviation, Transportation Survey, Aviation Industry Regulation, Air Transport Labor Relations, Airline Management, Airport Planning, General Aviation Operations, Aviation Security Management, Air Traffic Control, Aviation Weather, Internship and Capstone.

Maintain appropriate office hours and to assist students with program-related matters. Attend department meetings as required. Engage in other assignments as determined by the director of the program. Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students through:

• Preparing course plans and materials
• Delivering courses
• Monitoring progress/attendance
• Recording grades and submitting reports
• Preparing Graduation Packages

Master’s Degree in one of the following fields: Aviation Management, Business Administration in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, Aviation Science, Aerospace Administration or Commercial Aviation. Industry experience will be considered in lieu a of specific master’s degree.

Airport Management and/or airline experience preferred.
