Job summary: Seeking a creative and experienced Textile Designer to join a team in the home soft goods industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing jacquards and/or dobbies and a passion for creating beautiful and functional textiles.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop textiles for home soft goods including bedding upholstery and drapery
Create innovative jacquard and/or dobby designs
Collaborate with product development and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are producible
Conduct trend research and market analysis to inform design decisions
Prepare detailed design specifications and technical drawings
Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Textile Design Textile Engineering or related field
Proven experience in designing jacquards and/or dobbies
Knowledge of home soft goods industry trends and standards
Experience with fabric production processes and materials
Proficiency with textile design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite NedGraphics)
Strong creative and technical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
