Spur, a digital staffing agency, seeks hard-working and dedicated Summer Maintenance Support for Marshall County Schools.
The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the rules and guidelines set by the school and Spur. The primary responsibilities of this position are assisting the maintenance team in performing various tasks to ensure the school facilities are clean, safe, and in good working condition. This temporary role is essential in preparing the school environment for the upcoming academic year. Candidates must wear business casual clothing . Duties expected of this position are:
Assist with the upkeep of school buildings and grounds, including minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks.
To ensure they meet health and safety standards, perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and other school areas.
Support landscaping activities such as mowing lawns, trimming bushes, watering plants, and removing weeds.
Assist with painting projects, including prepping surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a neat finish.
Moving and Setup: Help move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed. Set up classrooms and common areas for the new school year.
Conduct inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report any issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Assist in organizing and maintaining maintenance supplies and equipment.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Work collaboratively with other maintenance staff and school personnel to complete tasks efficiently.

Must be able to obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00)

This position pays $20.00/hour.
