Sterile Processing Technician - Laguna Beach, CA

$50,000 - $74,000 per year

Join our team as a Senior Sterile Processing Technician at our Laguna Beach Campus! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for a full-time, 8-hour day shift position.

About the Role:

As a Senior Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our surgical services. You will be responsible for the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and equipment. Experience with orthopedic and joint replacements is highly desired.

Responsibilities: (Include, but are not limited to)

• Decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Operation and maintenance of sterilization equipment (e.g., autoclaves, Sterrad).
• Preparation and packaging of surgical instrument trays.
• Inventory management and control of sterile supplies.
• Adherence to all infection control and safety protocols.
• Documentation of all sterilization and processing activities.
• Collaboration with surgical staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments.
• Experience with High-Level Disinfection and Endoscopy.

Qualifications:

• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) upon hire
• OR National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire
• OR National Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) upon hire
• 2+ years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care hospital setting.
• 1+ years of experience in high-level disinfection, including decontamination, processing, sterilization, and/or endoscopy.
• 2+ years of experience working as a Sterile Processing Technician with Orthopedic and/or Joint Replacements preferred .
