Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of a Software Engineer for their Advanced Modeling and Simulation Technical Operation. This person would work with a team that creates high-visibility 3-D environment training software and establish and maintain best practices in the organization for software development.

Essential Job Responsibilities
• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software and systems with logical and mathematical solutions.
• Determines software and system requirements; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops utility programs using C++/C# in a Visual Studio Environment.
• Some mechanical/electrical experience is a plus.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Minimum Qualifications
• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or HighSchool Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

Preferred Requirements
• Working knowledge of C++/C# in a Visual Studio environment
• Unreal Engine experience a plus
• Good software debugging skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products a plus
• Military experience a plus
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
