Job Description
This position is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual with Procurement expertise and implementation experience. Procurement services and consulting is a key areas of focus for Client as it grows its North American business, and this position provides an opportunity to develop and expand this service line. With foundational support provided by a team of professionals in India, the role includes eventually managing a team of local front-end delivery professionals to provide solutions to clients. The candidate will report to the Managing Director and will work with clients to identify problems or pain points and design solutions based on Client's capabilities. Additionally, the role will also manage front-end delivery for solutions executed by the Indian operations team. Client currently has a small North American sales and marketing team supported by a larger, mature organization in India, with more than half a century of experience working with global clients. The candidate will work closely with the Client leadership team and play a role in actively designing and executing future strategies. The position will also expose the candidate to different industries to develop solutions for companies of various sizes. They should be able to work independently and have the focus and presence of mind to handle quick changes in direction as expected in any fast-paced startup. The role also includes supporting senior leadership in revenue-generating activities for North America and marketing Client's Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing service offerings to identified leads.
Roles and Responsibilities
-Grow the Procurement vertical in the North American Market o Build Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing capability:
-Create a knowledge repository-strategic sourcing, purchase-to-pay (P2P) services procurement, contracts and category management
-Conduct training sessions for delivery, sales, and marketing teams
-Help build high-impact case studies with business benefits
-Extensive experience in building Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing operating models, scaling operations, and driving enterprise value. o Improve Visibility:
-Represent Client at various events to improve brand visibility (e.g., Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing, Healthcare, Food Processing, and Outsourcing related forums).
-Position Client as a strategic partner, trusted adviser, and value-creator to assigned industry clients.
-Participate in various marketing initiatives such as authoring articles on Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing, webinars, and podcasts.
Business Development:
-Key responsibility will be to acquire new customers. Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, i.e., solutions, pricing, and closure.
-Proactively seek out new opportunities with existing clientele; maintain a portfolio of clients for repeat business (Manage existing clients)
-Share quarterly / monthly updates on key market developments with Client leadership
-Lead Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing Solutioning / Subject Matter Expertise:
oTranslate clients' strategic requirements into Client-enabled customized solutions on procurement consulting & outsourcing in the areas of Strategic Sourcing, purchase-to-pay (P2P) services procurement, contracts, and category management to improve their business resultso Hands-on experience & delivery through applications - Coupa procurement, Oracle, SAP Ariba, Basware, Zycus, & Ivalua.
oDeliver hard benefits to the clients -agreed metrics with the clients for improvement ( Business ,Finance & Operations)
oWork closely with clients to provide solutions on assignments
oBe the primary point of contact between the customer and delivery teams o Meet and exceed client expectations and resolve relationship and/or operations issues in a timely manner for new clients (Ensuring good customer satisfaction score)
oEnsure Client solutions meet the client's business objectives while delivering measurable results
oEngage with current customers for opportunity sizing, closures, pass delivery to India, and review the progress of the delivery team in India
oCo-ordinate with various external and internal stakeholders to achieve better results and forge close working relationships and alliances to get things done internally for the client
oStay on top of information needed by prospective customers to serve as a resource o Help lead proposal development and other new business development activities by leveraging existing relationships with C-level executives

-In-depth/hands-on understanding of Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing solutions o Industry Experience: Life Sciences - Pharmaceuticals/ Medical Devices/ Food processing, consumer electronics/Automobile/Biotechnology/ Consumer Goods - Food & Beverage, Consumer Health/Beauty /Semiconductors, etc.
-Functional Areas: Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing Planning, Sourcing & Procurement, Manufacturing & Packaging, Fulfilment, Digital TransformationProven track record of delivering excellent Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing solutions to clients o Understanding of Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing technology, procurement and materials management platforms etc
-Demonstrated experience in selling and delivering projects that cover the full life cycle of assessment, design, and implementation support
-Broad functional knowledge within the Procurement Consulting & Outsourcing Consulting with the ability to understand and connect with a variety of executive-level stakeholders on their specific painpoints
-Excellent networking, presentation, and negotiation skills o Strategically minded and able to provide a consultative and solution-minded sales solution to prospective clients
-Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural global environment
-Ability to communicate confidently at the C-level to build meaningful internal and external relationships
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hands-on experience with Procurement Consulting & ToolsCoupa procurement, Oracle, SAP Ariba, & Ivalua.
Education & Experience:
-Bachelors in Engineering/Finance
-MBA (Finance/Operations Management) /APICS
-Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience post MBA (2-3 Years experience in the healthcare industry would be a plus)
