POSITION SUMMARY:
Kelly is seeking a proactive and analytical Scientific Program Analyst to independently support the operational objectives of the Center for Alzheimer's and Related Dementias. This role involves conducting comprehensive research activities, providing scientific program evaluation, and facilitating project coordination and execution. The successful candidate will engage in biospecimen management, data compilation, and creation of scientific reports, while playing a pivotal role in planning and participating in technical meetings and lectures. This position requires a high level of scientific acumen, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary research teams to advance the center’s mission.
TASKS. The contractor shall:
Work on existing projects and develop new project initiatives, coordinating the development, initiation, and execution phases.
Facilitate biospecimen acquisition, shipment, storage, tracking, and distribution.
Research, interpret, and summarize background materials from scientific sources.
Review and summarize materials and data; conduct data entry, file maintenance, and prepare text, data, and charts.
Compile data and create graphs, slides, and presentations; provide regular oral reports to leadership.
Track project implementation, review progress, and update project plans as needed.
Perform logistical planning for scientific meetings, lectures, and workshops.
Plan, organize, and participate in technical meetings and consultations with diverse experts.
Attend multidisciplinary research team meetings and prepare for information exchanges with colleagues.
Prepare briefing materials and summaries for meetings, workshops, and conferences.
Analyze program activities, identify issues, and develop recommendations for improvement.
Develop and update project plans to reflect milestones and resources accurately.
Implement comprehensive documentation procedures for projects and portfolio monitoring.
Analyze scientific programs, propose improvements, and develop scientific and management support strategies.
Coordinate and document projects from inception to completion, monitor progress, and provide regular updates.
Perform quantitative and qualitative assessments and evaluations of scientific data.
Develop and implement new scientific programs to achieve organizational goals.
Maintain clinical databases on Google Drive and provide document retrieval support.
REQUIREMENTS. The contractor must have:
Master’s degree required; Ph.D. in neuroscience, genetics, biology, or a related field preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years of related program analysis experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant data management software.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn new skills and information.
Ability to work as a team player and help others.
Experience in project management, data analysis, and scientific program evaluation.
