Seahawk Services in Chesapeake, VA is looking for one admin assistant to join our team. We are located on 504 Pinchelone Street. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged. you will play a key role in supporting our clients' financial health by managing their bookkeeping tasks remotely. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and providing valuable insights to help our clients make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, accounts payable/receivable processing, and payroll administration.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of tax documents and liaise with tax professionals as needed.
• Communicate regularly with clients to gather financial information, address inquiries, and provide updates on bookkeeping activities.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay up-to-date on accounting principles, regulations, and software to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet client needs and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in a remote or virtual setting.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members remotely.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and technology.
