Job Description and Duties

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one, Permanent, Full-time  Information Technology Specialist I position within the Information Technology Service Division. This position will be located in the Sacramento offic e. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days.

Under the direction of the Application Development Unit (AppDev) Manager, the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) works independently as the recognized technical specialist on the system testing and application testing of the most complex software systems and software activities. Working Conditions

This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at least two days per week. Beginning July 1, 2025, all employees will be required to work in-person at least four days per week in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25.

Sacramento Location:
The Sacramento office is in the new state-of-the-art May Lee State Office Complex in Sacramento's River District, conveniently located next to Light Rail. On site parking is available for a fee.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

This position is subject to Title 10, § 250.30 of the California Code of Regulations, the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation’s Conflict of Interest Regulations, the incumbent is required to submit a Statements of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1st and within 30 days of leaving office.

STATEMENT OF QUALFICATIONS

3. Can you describe your experience demonstrating your analytical thinking skills?
