What To Expect
The Engineering Test team is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Project Manager in planning and execution of large in-territory mileage accumulation vehicle testing both for current and prototype vehicles. This candidate is someone who thrives on working with cross-functional stakeholders on system interest & needs while driving impactful results that improve Tesla’s product. What You'll Do Fleet management: Maintain and actively manage a large fleet of engineering prototype vehicles across multiple global sites including, but not limited to, test progression, service needs, road compliance, logisticsCross functional collaboration: Collaborate with internal design teams and 3rd parties on new fleet requirements, defining objectives and deliverablesStakeholder communication: Communicate fleet / project status, progress, delays and milestones to engineering stakeholders and leadershipTechnical oversight: Triage issues and concerns while coordinating appropriate support/resources needed to drive root causes. Bridge the gap between engineering technical needs and 3rd partiesOversee various metric dashboards, Confluence and JIRA sites for test documentation and status updates
What You'll Bring Valid driver's license requiredExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectivelyStrong understanding of vehicles, vehicle components, or a strong interest and willingness to learnAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment while tackling last minute changesExperience in Project Management or Project Coordination with a background in engineering preferredAbility to travel up to 15%This is a safety-sensitive position, subject to drug testing in accordance with Tesla policy and applicable law

Expected Compensation
$68,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
