Acara Solutions is hiring an entry level Procurement Agent for our Fortune 500 banking client in Buffalo, NY.

Here's what you'll get:

• Pay: $19-25 /hr. based on experience
• Schedule: Full-time M-F, 8am-4:30pm
• 100% onsite in Buffalo
• Contract to hire after approximately 6 months with good work performance

Here's what you'd do:

• Assist with implementing and managing procurement programs to ensure efficient use of preferred vendors and services.
• Educate and train employees on available programs, emphasizing strategic sourcing and the benefits of preferred vendors.
• Process internal orders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and reduce spending outside preferred programs.
• Manage non-catalogue orders, ensuring adherence to audit procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with employees to find and price required items.
• Analyze spending trends, recommend adjustments to commodity programs, and address price fluctuations for cost savings.
• Audit and process invoices for accuracy and appropriateness, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Ensure proper signing authority on orders and maintain compliance with risk and regulatory standards.
• Identify and escalate potential risk-related issues to management.
• Promote diversity and reflect the company brand in all work activities.
• Support internal controls and audit processes, addressing feedback from audits and regulators.
• Participate in strategic sourcing initiatives to secure competitive pricing and savings for the company.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of professional work experience 
• Basic Excel, Word, and PowerPoint a must

Preferred Skills:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree 
• Experience with PBI a bonus.
• Ability to learn, wanting to grow, good communicator.
• Able to manage multiple tasks/activities
