Job Description

The Physical Security Manager will be responsible for assisting the team in all physical security related areas, including physical security requirements, investigations, building access, site security assessments, security audits and management of general corporate security operations. This role serves as a first point of contact for most security related matters.  

 

Physical Security

  • Responsible for the overall physical security of all CommunityAmerica properties.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that properties meet established physical security standards and procedures.
  • Develops and ensure compliance with internal operating policies, procedures and standards pertaining to physical security guidelines.
  • Provides Physical Security project management for all new and existing facilities.

Security Assessments and Training

  • Prepares formal Security Assessments for CommunityAmerica leadership.
  • Establishes standardized levels of security for CommunityAmerica properties and defines appropriate response procedures.
  • Develops and implements a Physical Security Training and Awareness Programs.
  • Manage Physical Security systems, applications, and equipment in conjunction with IT and InfoSec.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Builds and maintains relationships with local and national law enforcement teams to facilitate resolution of issues/events.
  • Partners with internal cross-functional resources and verify alignment with physical security programs.
  • Contracts, manages, develops, and provides performance and invoicing oversight for all 3rd-party physical security and related vendors.

Staff Management

  • Recruits the best talent, provides regular and meaningful feedback, provides development opportunities, and motivates employees for maximum performance.
  • Approves subordinate timecards, overtime requests and requests for expense reimbursement if/when applicable.
  • Responsible for making arrangements to adequately cover security management duties while on PTO and other occasions when not available to be on duty.
  • Available after business hours for emergencies.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Corporate Security, Criminal Justice or equivalent 7+ years’ experience within physical security management and/or law enforcement.
  • Extensive knowledge of Physical Security Programs and Systems: Access Control, Surveillance, and Alarm Monitoring
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to interpret building plans, design documents, and physical security proposals.
  • Project management
  • Ability to handle physical security related incidents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of branch banking and the financial sector threat landscape

Physical Requirements:

  • In this position, individual will be expected to lift up to 20 pounds from time to time. Also, must be able to stoop, bend, reach, stand and sit and use a computer for extended periods of time. 

Working Conditions:

  • This position is expected to work in a general office environment and may have to travel for visits to other branch locations or for training purposes.
