Position Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Paralegal/Scretary (Onsite)
Are you an experienced paralegal/legal assistant with a passion for litigation and a talent for multitasking? We are currently seeking a skilled paralegal/legal assistant to join our legal team in a dynamic hybrid role that combines both paralegal and legal secretary responsibilities.
In this position, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys on bad faith, medical malpractice (med mal), and personal injury matters. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and has at least 3+ years of solid litigation experience-preferably on the plaintiff side-handling cases from intake through trial.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform substantive paralegal/legal assistant tasks including legal research, drafting pleadings, preparing discovery responses, and assisting with trial preparation for complex litigation.
* Handle court filings, manage deadlines, and provide direct support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
* Oversee administrative duties such as scheduling, correspondence, and case file organization.
* Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel to ensure the smooth progression of each case.
* Maintain meticulous case records and support overall case strategy development.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in bad faith, med mal, and personal injury litigation (plaintiff-side preferred).
* Demonstrated long-term employment at previous roles (3+ years at last two positions).
* Strong writing, research, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to manage both paralegal/legal assistant and secretarial responsibilities efficiently.
* Proficient in eFiling, Microsoft Office Suite, and legal case management software.
* Comfortable supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously.
