Required Qualifications:
  • Actively participate in a team environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes
  • High School Diploma or GED
Required Skills :
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic understanding of blueprints and specifications
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic ERP skills
Essential Functions & Responsibilities (definition of job):
  • Organize and plan the use of blasting equipment and material
  • Ensure blasting equipment is properly maintained and in a ready state of operation
  • Prepare materials for painting by cleaning, masking, media blasting
  • Examine and measure finished surfaces to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Use of basic hand tools and measuring devices
  • Perform daily machine preventative maintenance, changing filters as necessary
  • Perform in-process visual inspection of units before and after product is painted
  • Respirator certification
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials and tolerate heat
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to become a certified waste handler
  • Ability to learn basics of mixing various paint ratios and testing paint to determine proper mixture
  • Ability to learn to paint various units with a range of finishes and processes
  • Learn the basics of utilizing spray guns, paint cans, and touch-up guns
  • Additional PPE required as needed
  • Pass annual eye exam specific to job title
  • Cross train within department
  • Support manufacturing operations across departments and product lines, being flexible as needed.
  • Train less experienced team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
