As a unit, Negotiation, Organizations & Markets (NOM) are broadly interested in the way people make decisions, how individuals and groups interact and negotiate, and the design and functioning of incentives and markets. The NOM Unit is interdisciplinary and has approximately 30 faculty members with backgrounds in psychology, economics, and organizational behavior, among others. Our research interests include Behavioral Economics and Decision-Making, Negotiation, Trust, Motivation, Incentives, Market Design and Behavioral Ethics.
We are responsible for teaching a variety of MBA and executive education courses related to negotiation, behavioral economics and decision-making, leadership and communication, and market design. We also teach doctoral courses and work closely with doctoral students in the organizational behavior and marketing programs, and in the business economics program (which is joint with the Department of Economics).
