Join Our Team as a Forklift Operator!

Nexeo HR is looking for a skilled and motivated Forklift Operator to join a dynamic team in the Salt Lake City area ! The ideal candidate will have experience operating a sit-down forklift and cherry picker, a positive attitude and strong work ethic, the ability to follow safety guidelines , and willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment . Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
• Load and unload goods from trucks, storage racks, or production lines.
• Handling & Transporting Materials
• Move raw materials, finished products, or inventory around the warehouse or facility.
• Stack and organize pallets properly to prevent damage or hazards.
• Safety & Compliance
• Follow OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and report any mechanical issues.
• Ensure loads are stable and within weight limits.
• Inventory & Documentation
• Keep track of inventory movements using scanners, paperwork, or warehouse management systems.
• Assist with cycle counts and stock checks.
• Assisting Warehouse Operations
• Help with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, or sorting when needed.
• Communicate with team members, supervisors, and truck drivers to coordinate logistics.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a forklift (stand-up, sit-down, reach truck, etc.) is preferred.
• Ability to safely maneuver in tight spaces and handle different load types.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Certifications & Licenses
• Forklift Certification (OSHA-compliant training preferred).
• Some employers may require a valid driver’s license.
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive movements.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures (cold storage, hot warehouses).
• Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
• Safety & Compliance Knowledge
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report issues.
• Soft Skills
• Attention to detail to prevent damage and ensure accurate inventory handling.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Pay

$18.00 - $21.50 Per Hour DOE

Schedule

Day Shift | 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Monday - Thursday

Swing Shift | 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM | Rotating Days
