Job Description
We are excited to welcome a Financial Analyst FP&A Consultant to our team in the healthcare industry! Located in El Segundo, California, this position offers a unique opportunity to engage in data analysis, financial reporting, and budget management across various sites. You will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to our financial planning and analysis functions.
Work Schedule:
This position requires onsite work from Monday to Thursday at our El Segundo office, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
Duration:
This is a temporary role covering maternity leave starting mid-November for 4-5 months. Based on performance and organizational needs, there may be an opportunity to transition into a permanent position as a Senior Financial Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Regularly update, maintain, and analyze financial and operational reports to ensure they are accurate and relevant. This includes preparing monthly performance dashboards, financial statements, and variance analysis reports.
Budget Preparation & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Conduct thorough variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Data Management: Utilize SQL for data extraction, analysis, and report creation. Manage large datasets to derive key insights that assist in financial decision-making.
Site-Level Financial Oversight: Oversee financial activities for multiple business locations. Provide site-level financial analysis, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations to enhance performance across all sites.
Financial Modeling: Create and maintain complex financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
Reporting Improvements: Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and streamline the budgeting and forecasting process. Develop automated reporting tools and processes where applicable.
Collaboration: Work closely with operational managers and senior leadership to gather financial data, understand business needs, and ensure alignment of financial plans with organizational goals.
Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and prepare custom reports for senior management as needed.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Strong knowledge and experience in accrual accounting and auditing.
Familiarity with accounting software systems such as ADP Financial Services, CRM, Crystal Reports, and data mining techniques.
Proficient in performing various accounting functions and familiar with budget processes and capital management.
Proficiency in SQL is essential.
Experience in the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative spirit.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
