Job Description: The Facility & Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all trucks, equipment, and facilities within the organization. This role involves overseeing and coordinating a team of maintenance personnel, scheduling preventive maintenance programs, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing cost-efficient solutions for repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Oversight: Lead and coordinate the Facility & Fleet Maintenance Team, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for trucks and equipment to ensure safe operation and prevent breakdowns, coordinating schedules and inspections as necessary.
Equipment Management: Manage the GPS system, ensuring accurate tracking and monitoring of fleet vehicles and equipment. Ensure all trucks, equipment, and tools are maintained, serviced, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Compliance Management: Ensure all trucks and equipment are in compliance with licensing, registration, DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report), insurance, and other regulatory requirements. Keep abreast of changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functionality of all facilities, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards at all times.
Cost Efficiency: Identify opportunities to decrease costs and improve efficiency in maintenance and repair processes. Develop and implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
Inventory Control: Manage supply inventory for maintenance operations, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and waste.
Personnel Management: Participate in the hiring and training of new mechanics or facility personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure competency and adherence to organizational standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in facility and fleet maintenance management or related fields.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and regulations governing fleet operations.
Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and maintenance software.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Certification in relevant maintenance or management fields is preferred.
