Environmental Insurance Consultant-100% remote- $160-175,000

Our client a well-known, respected international Insurance Consultant requires a Client-facing environmental expert to advise institutional clients in commercial lending and investing.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Evaluate site environmental insurance (pollution legal liability) coverage to ensure coverage.
• Summarize current or proposed environmental insurance coverage for presentation to lender teams.
• Identify and resolve environmental coverage issues and discrepancies.
• Liaise with broker and borrower to obtain environmental information and facilitate any revisions.
• Review and evaluate any applicable Environmental Indemnity Agreements.
• Review and revise environmental insurance requirements in loan agreements.
• Review of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports.
• Assist lenders in determining the need for environmental insurance on an individual loan basis.
• Provide insurance recommendations, such as policy limits that may be required by rating agencies.
• Propose customized environmental insurance solutions as needed to mitigate potential risk exposures.
• Support and participate in business development activities and meetings for new and existing clients.
• Function as an matter expert, staying current on environmental risk issues, coverage, and market changes.
• Create and deliver training sessions to the internal team and clients on critical environmental.
• Compile environmental evidence binders, policies, and any loan-specific endorsements for loan closings.
• Follow up on any environmental insurance post-closing documents and deliver to lender teams.
• Comply with business management system data standards and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of Brokerage or Underwriting experience with site pollution insurance.
• Environmental Science, Risk and Insurance Management.
• Working experience with ESA reports and Environmental Indemnity Agreements.
• Strong sense of responsibility and urgency is vital for the role.
• Expertise in site pollution insurance with some working knowledge of lender pollution policies preferred.
• Strong interpretative skills of site pollution policy terms and conditions and standard endorsements.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Confidence in communicating with various borrower and lender representatives, including attorneys.
• Strong problem solving and time management skills.
• Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt in a dynamic environment.
