You'll be assigned to work on various infant and preschool projects funded by federal and/or state funds, with a particular focus on Part C to B transition and supporting early childhood inclusive programs for children with disabilities.As an EPC, you'll be an educational leader, promoting special education programs at the state and local level with policy support. You'll have the opportunity to delve into areas such as research, program development, and evaluation for early childhood special education. This position offers telecommuting options and is based in Sacramento, California. Eligible applicants residing in California may qualify for a hybrid telework schedule, which involves a combination of remote work and reporting to the office.
This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California. A hybrid telework schedule includes working remotely and physically reporting to the office.
In Office refers to all working days.
Hybrid refers to some working days in office and other days telework eligible.
Telework refers to all working days at approved alternate work location.
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Have knowledge of state and federal laws related to the implementation of special education under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act;
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in special education, including experience with infant and preschool programs
- Experience with contract and grant management and monitoring;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including local education agency representatives, governmental agencies, and public agencies.
