This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

Under the direction of the Printing Trades Supervisor II, the Bookbinder III operates bindery equipment of average complexity. Possesses journey-level skill and knowledge in all average bindery equipment operation as well as its set-up, adjustments, operator maintenance, and record-keeping.

The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

Working Conditions

Team player; flexibility with expedited production schedule adjustments and quality control proficiency as needed; dependable; responsible; trustworthy; effective communication skills; ability to instruct lower-level bindery classifications in bindery protocols; basic computer, Teams Communication, and phone skills; basic math skills; basic record keeping skills; knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in bookbinding; and advanced level of bindery forwarding and finishing equipment.
