Job Description

The Learning Institute for Functional Education ( L.I.F.E. ) is hiring a part-time or full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for Stanislaus County (Modesto, Turlock, Riverbank, Oakdale, etc.).

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

The BCBA will report directly to owner and chief executive officer, Terra Oehler. The BCBA will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols, based upon the principles of ABA, to the advanced behavior technicians, program supervisors, and/or clinical supervisors under their caseload. Supervision and instruction will be provided in various learning environments including home, community, and school settings. 

The BCBA will oversee the implementation of treatment plans, train supervisors under their caseload on implementing treatment plans, implement/oversee parent training, and conduct/oversee clinical assessments as needed. The BCBA is also responsible for writing and/or revising client reports under their caseload and ensuring timely submission of reports to the appropriate recipients.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Design, develop and implement a wide range of ABA programs for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Oversee direct client care in 1:1 and group settings.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to tailor ABA programs to specific client needs.
  • Supervise direct care staff (i.e. behavior therapists) on behavior skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols in clinical settings.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors, behavior technicians (BT/ RBT), parents and caregivers regarding client’s progress.
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
  • BCBA work for an average of 35 hours per week, and drive for an average of 5 hours per week.
Hours   and   Availability:
  • We offer flexible scheduling. Candidates with afternoon and evening availability are preferred.
  • Client sessions operate between the hours of 8:00am - 8:00pm Monday - Friday.
Requirements:
  • Attained master’s degree in ABA or related field.
  • Active BCBA certification in good standing.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and basic statistics for the purpose of data analysis.
  • Within 1-month of hire, must complete the 8-hour supervision training to provide BCBA supervision hours to employees.
  • Must provide a negative TB test and pass a criminal background clearance upon hire.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver's License, and active car insurance to travel to clients’ homes.
