Position Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Controller to lead our accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial statements and reporting. This role will also establish and enforce robust accounting processes, policies, and controls while providing backup support to the Accounting team as needed.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage timely month-end close, including reviewing and updating reconciliations.
Support acquisition integration and purchase accounting efforts.
Facilitate international business growth and process development.
Ensure compliance with state and local tax regulations, including registrations and filings.
Assist with year-end audit activities and manage auditor correspondence.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and processes.
Mentor and develop staff, including performance management and training.
Conduct ad hoc analysis and projects as required.
Occasional domestic travel may be necessary for team and company meetings.
Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
CPA license mandatory; public accounting experience preferred.
Strong communication skills and experience in hiring, training, and supervising employees.
Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 and 842.
Experience with international operations, acquisition integrations, and consolidations.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) required; NetSuite experience preferred.
